Shabba set for Derby milestone

South Africa's flagship fixture pitting Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates is back on the menu on Saturday at its traditional venue - the FNB Stadium - with a near capacity crowd expected.

Shabba has not missed a single official Soweto Derby since that famous 2-2 draw on November 24, 2007 in Durban.

In this blockbuster match the 33-year-old has been in the starting line-up in 27 games and then came off the bench twice, scoring four goals with the results column in those contests reading eight wins for Chiefs, eight defeats and 13 draws.

Tshabalala joined Amakhosi from Free State Stars in January 2007 but was forced to miss the first six months of his time at Naturena due to a niggling injury.

He is the oldest player at the club and has played the most games of all players in the current squad, winning all trophies offered on the local scene.
