KickOff.com has been informed that Kaizer Chiefs forward Lazarous Kambole remains a subject of discussion in three countries as AmaKhosi seeks to find a way of offloading him.
Kambole has been a signing that hasn’t worked out for Chiefs with a return of just two goals from 42 appearances since joining in July 2019.
He was placed on the transfer list at the beginning of the season but wasn’t shipped out due to contractual reasons.
The Zambian then stayed on hoping for a change in his fortunes and has played just five minutes this season and scored once.
Chiefs have made it no secret that they want to move him out as Stuart Baxter hasn’t been won over by him with a loan or permanent transfer has been considered.
Sudanese giants Al Hilal continue to have Kambole on their lips in their bid to bring in an attacker.
Al Hilal are the defending champions of the Sudanese Premier League and are also playing in the CAF Champions’ League group stages.
They have the budget to get close to what Kambole is earning at Chiefs but are worried about his recent goal-scoring record at Chiefs.
Kambole has the option of returning home to Zambia where he has several options though he will have to take a cut on his package.
In Tanzania, he has also been mentioned but that will also only happen if he takes a salary cut.
Young Africans were keen six months ago, but the deal failed to go through after they failed to meet what he was demanding.
Kambole’s contract with Chiefs runs up at the end of June and with little game time, his value has dropped.
In the meantime, AmaKhosi are pressing forward with moving him out as soon as possible.
Through the challenges that Kambole has faced at Chiefs, he has also found himself out of favour with Chipolopolo.
