Ex-Baroka striker seals deal in Europe

SA Players Abroad

Former Baroka striker Ranga Chivaviro is set to ply his trade in Europe after signing for KF Trepca '89 in Kosovo.

The Limpopo-born striker has joined former Maritzburg United defender Mphakamiseni Nene, who has also signed for the same team in the premier league of Kosovo.

Chivaviro and Nene have become the first South African players to play their trade in Kosovo.

Lebohang 'Guluva' Mashishi, who helped secure Nene and Chivaviro's move to Kosovo, has confirmed the players' new deals.

"Nene has signed for one year and Ranga has signed until the end of the season," Mashishi tells KickOff.com from Kosovo.

"I am excited for the two players because it's a new chapter in their lives out of their comfort zone. Good thing I'm here in Europe to help them settle quicker.

"Based on their performances for the remainder of the season, I believe it will launch their careers into bigger leagues. It's all in their hands now to perform. I hope they will quickly adapt to the culture and the cold weather here."

Mashishi also reveals that he is working on a deal to secure deals for two other youngsters in Kosovo.
