Bafana Bafana striker Lyle Foster has officially completed a permanent transfer to newly-crowned Belgian second division champions Westerlo.

Former Orlando Pirates starlet Lyle Foster will extend his stay with Westerlo after it was confirmed that the newly-crowned Belgian First Division B champions have made his loan deal a permanent one after agreeing to terms with Vitória de Guimarães.

The announcement was confirmed by the Portuguese outfit on Tuesday who revealed that they had received a transfer fee of around R17 million as part of the agreement, while also being entitled to a percentage of any future sell-on fee.

"Vitória Sport Clube Futebol, SAD informs that it has reached an agreement with KVC Westerlo, from Belgium, for the transfer of the player Lyle Foster, for the amount of €1 000 000 with Vitória keeping 15% of the surplus-value of a future sale," the statement said.

Foster recorded five goals and four assists in 26 appearances across all competitions for Westerlo this season and played a starring role as the club secured promotion to the Jupiler League by virtue of being crowned second division champions.

The 21-year-old previously made seven senior appearances for the first team during his time with Vitória, which in turn followed a loan spell with Cercle Brugge and a short stint with Ligue 1 giants, AS Monaco.
