Mahlangu in SA, talks next move?

SA Players Abroad

South Africa international midfielder May Mahlangu, currently a free agent is back in the country and has confirmed he has received several offers.

Mahlangu represents one of the unique talents that's never played in the Premier Soccer League as he left Alexandra United back in 2008 for a journey towards European football.

The tireless midfielder who's blessed with incredible technical ability has since enjoyed 13 years abroad which has taken him to Sweden, Belgium, Romania, Turkey, Bulgaria and Kazakstan within an inspiring rag to riches journey.

But speaking to an Ultra's Fan Page of his former club Dinamo București, he flirted with the idea of returning to the 18-time league winners.

"I train at home, alone. I'm looking for a club that will appreciate me. Yes, I have [offers]. It's just that right now I'm not what I want to be," Mahlangu said in the interview shared on his Instagram account this week.

"It's possible, why not? I would go back. Yes, I'd love to go back. Romania is such a warm country, as is its culture. My family also likes it very much."

When asked about the financial issues the club currently finds itself in, he claimed it wouldn't be an issue and admitted he's yearning for a new challenge but stopped short of confirming any contact from the club.

"Dinamo is life, it's everything. I'm proud that I gave my all and I'm sorry about the problems on the team. I love challenges, that's what football is about."

And the club's Executive Director Iuliu Mureșan has also confirmed to Gazeta Sportuliror that Mahlangu is not being targeted for a sensational return to the club he represented between 2016 and 2018 and won the Cupa Ligii.
