Brighton and Hove Albion have announced the transfer of Bafana Bafana star Percy Tau to Egyptian giants Al Ahly as the attacker reunites with Pitso Mosimane.
In one of the most high-profile transfers in African football in recent times the record ten-time African champions have pulled off a major coup by luring the forward from the English top-flight.
Mosimane has not hidden his desire to work with the player he won the 2016 CAF Champions League with at Mamelodi Sundowns in recent weeks and after receiving backing from the board, they've now delivered his priority target.
Despite not retaining their Egyptian Premier League title, Mosimane is said to be in the process of being handed a new contract which is seemingly imminent after club president Mahmoud El-Khatib issued his unwavering support.
Tau will now form a key part of his ambitions for the future at the Club of the Century who will be aiming to win every title on offer in the 2021/22 season and return to the FIFA Club World Cup in December.
Tau made just six appearances for the Seagulls since joining them from Masandawana in 2018 after three separate loan stints in Belgium due to work-permit issues.
