Bafana squad for 2021 COSAFA Cup

South Africa has announced a 20-man squad for the 2021 COSAFA Cup, which is set to get underway next month.

On Tuesday, Bafana Bafana assistant manager Helman Mkhalele revealed the identities of the 20 players who will be representing the nation in Nelson Mandela Bay during next month's COSAFA Cup tournament.

"The objective is to win the COSAFA Cup and that will help us with our preparations for World Cup Qualifiers," Mkhalele said in an official statement.

As the host nation, South Africa has been drawn alongside regional neighbours Lesotho, Eswatini and Botswana in Group A and will get the campaign underway on 7 July.

Goalkeepers: Bruce Bvuma (Kaizer Chiefs) & Sifiso Mlungwana (Golden Arrows)

Defenders: Rushine De Reuck (Mamelodi Sundowns), Denwin Farmer (Baroka), Siyabonga Ngezana (Kaizer Chiefs), Njabulo Ngcobo (Swallows FC), Keenan Phillips (Supersport United), Mashweu Mphahlele (Baroka), Sifiso Ngobeni (Bloemfontein Celtic) & Bongani Sam (Orlando Pirates)

Midfielders: Sphelele Mkhulise (Mamelodi Sundowns), Ethan Brooks (TS Galaxy), Siyethemba Sithebe (AmaZulu), Kgaogelo Sekgota (Swallows FC), Tiklas Thutlwa (Black Leopards), Happy Mashiane (Kaizer Chiefs), Vincent Pule (Orlando Pirates) & Goodman Mosele (Baroka)
