The 25-year-old shot-stopper describes the long-term deal as a show of loyalty and is adamant on lifting his maiden Absa Premiership title with Matsatsantsa.

“My sights has always been on SuperSport, I’ve never ever thought of leaving this club. They’ve been loyal to me so now I’m showing my loyalty to them,” Williams tells KickOff.com.

“I’ve been here since I was 12 so it’s going on 13 years now, and I’m looking forward to winning many more things… hopefully the Absa Premiership trophy!

“But I’ve never thought of leaving because the club has been good to me.”

Williams, who has four senior international caps to his name, has been touted with a move to the Buccaneers on several occasions, but maintains that he has never considered leaving his boyhood club.

“The speculation has been going on for the past three or four years – ever since Senzo has passed away – but my focus is and always has been solely on doing well with SuperSport,” he says.

“If there was anything concrete [in terms of offers] then I would have thought about it but, like I’ve said, I’ve never considered leaving this wonderful club."
