Stars sign Vilakazi's replacement

The 29-year-old former AC Leopards midfielder boasts continental experience having played in the CAF Champions League 18 times.

Eymael has confirmed the box-to-box player has put pen to paper on a one-year contract, which carries an option.

"Yes, he signed bro, one-year plus option," says the Belgian, who has plugged the hole left by Nhlanhla Vilakazi's off-season move to AmaZulu.

"It is the boy who is here to replace Vilakazi's departure (sic). At this position of 8 ... we have only [Makhehlene] Makhaula who is experienced. So we needed to have competition like at all other positions.

"He is an international, a regular player in the [Congolese] team, but plays a bit different than Makhaula who is a soldier.

"A very interesting player and who is a multi-positional player ... so they are a bit different."

Ea Lla Koto, who have lined up the services of Cape Town City striker Judas Moseamedi, are currently assessing William Twala, Mahlatse Makudubela, Yusuf Jappie and Devon Saal.
