Information reaching this website is that Wits have already made it known that they will taking up the option of a further season on Nhlapo’s deal.
“I am going back to Wits,” Nhlapo, who was loaned to Highlands in January, tells KickOff.com.
“I have an option of a further year’s extension on my contract with Wits and they have already told me that they will be exercising that option.”
Nhlapo has had a bizarre season in which he played for both the league champions and the team that got automatically relegated.
He played two league games for Wits during the first round of fixtures and then crossed over to Highlands at the beginning of the year, featuring in 14 of the last 15 league games for the First Division-bound club.
“I went to Highlands for the sake of game-time and it worked out well for me because I got to play. Unfortunately it was late to fix things, we really tried but it was just too late,” he explains.
