Last week Wits announced the player's capture from Chippa United, along with the arrival of midfielder Bantu Mzwakali and goalkeeper Brighton Mhlongo.
Although Macuphu only arrived at the Chilli Boys during the 2018 January transfer window, he managed to play 13 league matches and two Nedbank Cup matches for the club, scoring four times.
"It's always great being part of a team that always competes and go for silverware," Macuphu tells KickOff.com.
"I chose them because despite all the rumours and hype, they showed they wanted me in the team.
"The culture that Wits has built is amazing! The professionalism is amazing."
The former Jomo Cosmos star says the only personal achievement he is gunning for next season will be to regularly find the back of the net for the Telkom Knockout champions.
"Achieve scoring goals and win trophies. As a striker you are judged by the goals you score."
