Mamelodi Sundowns forward Zakri is currently training with Ajax with a view to a possible move.
The Urban Warriors recently added Zimbabwean hitman Tendai Ndoro and Fagrie Lakay to their frontline, which includes Tashreeq Morris, Sedwyn George and unsettled hitman Prince Nxumalo.
"We need stability upfront and competition," Ertugral told KickOff.com.
"That was not happening before. Competition helps the team a lot. An ideal number is 22 plus three youngsters because we had too many players. We also have too many players in similar positions and some players also knew that they were not going to play, and that is one of the things I have changed. Now anyone can play at any moment at any given time.
"Zakri can fulfil the requirements but we will see [if we will sign him]. At the moment he still going through some tests with the medical department and when we get the results, only then we will be able to take a decision," concluded the Turk, who replaced Stanley Menzo at Ikamva in December.
