Eymael announced his exit today citing private reasons and a difference of opinion with City chairman Jonny Mogaladi.
But the experienced Belgian coach, who has impressed in the PSL after leading unfancied Polokwane to seventh on the Absa Premiership table – much higher than several bigger clubs below them – wants to continue coaching here.
“I rejected a big offer from Al Hilal of Sudan six days ago,” Eymael divulges to KickOff.com. “I prefer to stay here. I have two meetings with two teams today and tomorrow.”
Logic would dictate that relegation-threatened Bloemfontein Celtic will come knocking but Eymael says he has not yet been in contact.
“Nothing yet,” he confirms.
Eymael has previously indicated that he would be interested in the vacant Bafana Bafana post if it were offered to him, however, there has been no movement there either.
“I have not been contacted [about the Bafana job],” he adds.
