Gordinho was handed a trial by the Superliga team and played 90 minutes in 2-0 friendly defeat to Bundesliga club Hoffenmheim on Saturday night.
Aalborg coach Morten Wieghorst told regional Danish newspaper Nordjyske on Monday that the club has sent the South African home and not extended his stay.
“He was in today and now we will take a final decision. We will announce then, but the starting point is that he returns home to South Africa tomorrow [Tuesday],” Wieghorst said.
Another Danish wesbite, Bold.dk, reports that ‘AaB have looked at the South African defender Lorenzo Gordinho the last week, but now he will be sent back home and immediately becomes without a contract in the luggage’.
