Arrows confirm Mahachi return

The MTN8 quarter-finalists have added defenders Mzwandile Buthelezi and Zolani Nkombela, and Thabiso Mgwaba to their roster.

Buthelezi has been recruited from ABC Motsepe team Acornbush United. He has also plied his trade at Natal United, Sivusta Stars as well as Liverpool Amaphadi FC.

Twenty-two-year-old left-back Nkombela was previously at Mbombela United, helping the second-tier club reach the last-16 of the Nedbank Cup.

Mgwaba has experience playing for Crystal Palace, Glendale United, Cape Town All Stars and most recently Chippa United.

Mutizwa, who shone upfront for the Warriors at the COSAFA Cup, has seen his loan deal from Bidvest Wits renewed after impressing in the second half of last term. He bagged five goals in 14 league appearances under coach Clinton Larsen.

Mahachi's contractual situation has been unclear since he reunited with Arrows at the beginning of 2016/17 from Mamelodi Sundowns, having somehow made the same switch from The Brazilians outside the transfer window in 2015.

'Knox Mutizwa and Kudakwashe Mahachi are back with the team and will be playing for us for another season,' said Arrows in a statement on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Durban-based outfit have loaned Kwanele Hlongwane to neighbouring Royal Eagles for the coming campaign and parted ways with Lee Langeveldt, Chiukepo Msowoya and Ricardo Goss.
