Arrows assess Zimbabwean defender

Arrows coach Clinton Larsen is in desperate need of a left-back as Zolani Nkombelo picked up a serious injury in training shortly after the club opted against renewing the contract of current Bidvest Wits trialist Zolani Nkombelo.

Lunga, 23, is on the books of Chicken Inn in his homeland and was part of The Warriors side that won the COSAFA Cup in Polokwane in June under the tutelage of Sunday Chidzambwa.

"Arrows are assessing the Zimbabwean left-back. He has been here for some time," a source tells KickOff.com.

"He was part of the Zimbabwe side that won the COSAFA Cup in Polokwane."

Meanwhile, Portuguese goalkeeper coach Ricardo Concalves, who was on FC Porto's payroll from 2011 to 2013, has left Abafana Bes'thende following the expiry of his short-term deal in Durban.

Concalves initially linked up with Arrows towards the end of last season after Brazilian goalkeeper coach Milton Nienov moved over to Polokwane City.
