Manqele returned to Ea Lla Koto in September last year on a two-year deal, having started training with the club in July after being released by Kaizer Chiefs in April.
The 30-year-old impressed in his first spell in Bethlehem in 2011/12, bagging 11 goals in 29 outings.
He showed promise again this campaign, netting three goals in nine appearances.
However, it is understood that Manqele has been handed his clearance, paving the way for his return to the Chilli Boys.
According to a source at Chippa, Manqele was due to link up with the side this week.
"We have finalised the deal with Manqele," says the source.
"The club will release an official statement before the end of this week."
Earlier this month Stars coach Luc Eymael criticised Chippa for approaching Manqele when the forward was still under contract.
Manqele spent nearly a year with Chippa before joining Chiefs in August 2015.
