Matsi’s move to the Team of Choice means he will reunite with head coach Muhsin Ertugral. The pair worked together at Mpumalanga Black Aces, so the midfielder will know what to expect from the Turkish mentor.
Matsi has struggled to break into the team this season, with loads of competition from the likes of Roland Putsche, Thabo Nodada, Teko Modise and Shane Roberts.
The former University of Pretoria midfielder has made eight appearances in all competitions, but is likely to get more opportunities to play at Maritzburg.
Makaringe, meanwhile, has been linked with a move to Chiefs and could make the move to Naturena this month.
