Akoriko left Usuthu at the start of the 2015/16 campaign, during which the team were contesting their first season in the National First Division, for Saudi Arabia outfit Al Falsaly.
A year later the 29-year-old centre-back switched alegiances to Al-Khaleej, also in Saudi Arabia, on a free transfer after his one-year deal with Falsaly expired.
"We have concluded the release of certain players and we've also concluded the signing of Sedate Akoriko," Sokhela told the media on Wednesday.
Akoriko was part of Togo side that took part in this year's AFCON 2017 in Gabon, falling out at the group stages after finishing bottom – behind Ivory Coast, Morocco and DR Congo.
The former Free State Stars defender made his international debut back in 2010 and has been capped 15 times since then.
