Mlambo: We have to win today

Premiership

AmaZulu midfielder Xola Mlambo has urged his teammates to do everything to secure a win when they face in-form Maritzburg United today.

Usuthu are coming from a defeat to Kaizer Chiefs despite dominating the match and Mlambo believes there are lessons to be learned from that fixture.

Mlambo wants his side to use those lessons against the Team of Choice in the KwaZulu-Natal derby, which kicks off at 15h30at Jonsson Kings Park Stadium.

"What we learned from that defeat is that we have to do better, fight more than what we did before, and convert those chances so we can win games," he said ahead of the game.

Maritzburg United are still amongst the teams in the relegation zone while Usuthu are close to the top eight, and lost their first derby of the season at home to Golden Arrows.

'Ten Ten' says they have to be brutal against United and get three points for the supporters and management.

"'We have win for the supporters and for the management for believing in us. We have to get three points."
