Williams set to make Sundowns debut

Bafana Bafana captain Ronwen Williams is in line to make his much-awaited debut for champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Brazilians take on Cape Town City in a top-of-table DStv Premiership clash in Cape Town Friday evening.

Williams joined the Brazilians from Tshwane rivals SuperSport United during the off-season and has been included in the travelling party to the Mother City.

Meanwhile, Sundowns are set to retain defender, Sifiso Ngobeni this season.

The defender spent last season on loan at SuperSport United.

However, due to the departure of left-back, Elasto Lungu to Golden Arrows, the Brazilians have decided to hold onto the former Bloemfontein Celtic defender as an understudy to Lyle Lakay.

After Cape Town, Mamelodi Sundowns are expected to travel to Mpumalanga to face TS Galaxy in their next league fixture at the Mbombela stadium on August 10.
