Why Chiefs shouldn't fear Billiat exit

Premiership

Josta Dladla has shared his thoughts on Khama Billiat's possible transfer back to Mamelodi Sundowns.

Billiat has been on everybody's lips during this transfer window as Sundowns showed an interest in bringing him back to Chloorkop.

Chiefs have denied that anything is happening on the transfer front but with the window closing at midnight tonight, anything is still possible.

Ex-Amakhosi and Sundowns midfielder Josta Dladla believes Chiefs fans should not be worried if the club decides to sell the Zimbabwean star.

"It's only rumours at the moment right, everybody is saying Mamelodi Sundowns might be interested, it's normal hey like anywhere in the world teams are interested in certain players," he said.

"At the end of the day if Kaizer Chiefs gets better deal from Sundowns and they can say 'we will give you so much' and if Chiefs says 'ok we want this money for Billiat' they can do that, it's up to them to decide but at the moment it's only speculation there's not hardcore [facts] that Khama wants to go. It not something I can entertain because I don't know facts on it."

Dladla believes at Chiefs no player is irreplaceable because many top players have left the club and Amakhosi still survived.

"I mean players come and go, I played for chiefs, I've left, somebody had to fill up that thing. Shabba left, somebody had to fill up his space. Even if Billiat had to go back to Sundowns they will replace him. It's Kaizer Chiefs, they've been doing it for the longest time, been bringing a lot of players people never thoughts they will actually have at Amakhosi, they came and did the job.

"So if he [Billiat] decides to go I'm sure Bobby Motaung and management can actually replace him, but you don't want to lose a player like him because he brings so much experience into the team and obviously that experience is needed when it comes to chasing the league."
