'Pirates look hungrier and together'

SuperSport United head coach Kaitano Tembo has revealed what they will need to do to get a positive result against Orlando Pirates on Saturday evening.

Ezikamagebhula are currently high on confidence after reaching the final of the MTN8 with a 5-0 aggregate win over Kaizer Chiefs.

Pirates will now look to get all the three points against a SuperSport side that might be without star players Bradley Grobler and Clayton Daniels.

"Well, I expect a very tough game, I think you've seen Pirates, they've had a near-perfect start to the season," Tembo tells KickOff.com.

"They are motivated, they are already in the cup final MTN8, and they're quite changed team at the moment you know, their work ethic is very good. So we have to go out there and match them in terms of good ethic because you know they are showing a lot of hunger as a team and it's not going to be an easy game for us. We really have to go out there and play and match them in all areas.

"Look, each and every game we prepare we always try to prepare to get the three points. But that doesn't necessarily mean you will get them but you've got to work towards winning the game, and you also have to manage the game as well. But when you prepare you always try to go out there to get the three points and I think that's the objective for us on Saturday."

Tembo also pointed out the differences between this Pirates team and the ones from previous seasons.

"Look, like I mentioned I think they look hungrier, there's a little bit more togetherness in that team you know, they work for each other they fight for each other, hence I mentioned their work ethic is very good. And they brought in as well players which they needed and not just bringing in players. And they look like they are the team to beat this season," he adds.

When asked if he thought this weekend's match is going to show what could have happened if the two clubs were to meet in the MTN8 final, he responds: "Look, for us we have put that game behind us, and this is a different game altogether. It's a league game, we've got other objectives and the other objectives are for us to do well in the league this season.

"So you know we have to put the cup final behind us. And also our previous results against Pirates we've got to put them behind us and focus on this game. I think that's very important you know. Like I mentioned we are playing against a very good team, a very motivated team which is very high on confidence. So we have to go out there you know with the right attitude, with the right mentality in order for us to get a positive result."
