A former Zesco United coach believes striker Lazarous Kambole can succeed at Kaizer Chiefs provided the club can provide something important.
The 25-year-old has signed a three-year contract with Amakhosi after his superb job in helping Zambia win the COSAFA Cup held in Durban recently.
The Chipolopolo striker was also reported to be on the wanted-list of Orlando Pirates before deciding to settle down at Naturena.
Zlatko Krmpotic, who coached Kambole at Zesco, tells KickOff.com the player has all that it takes to do well at Chiefs but needs quality around him to really flourish.
"Chiefs are in big problems currently and in order for any player to thrive there, they need to move on with some players that played last season and bring in good players in every line," warns Krmpotic.
"Kambole is certainly a player with much quality. Zambia is a country with very good players and many Zambians are fit to play in PSL."
Krmpotic has wished Kambole all the best at Amakhosi after rescuing him from being dumped by Zesco before eventually signing him.
"I trained Kambole and I played him regularly," he explains. "The past CEO and current CEO were against it [signing him] and told me he is not quality. I told them they will eat their words one day.
"That's what has happened. Lazarous is an incredible player and more importantly a very good person. I wish him all the best."
