Bayern Munich earlier ousted CSKA Moscow 1-0 courtesy of Thomas Mueller's successful 22nd minute spot-kick in the Russian capital.

Group F
PSG beat visiting Barca 3-2 in a riveting tie as David Luiz opened the scoring for the French hosts with a 10th minute strike in the box.

The Catalans hit back two minutes later through a superb team goal which was rounded off by Lionel Messi's first-time finish in the area.

However, Marco Verratti and Blaise Matuid responded with efforts either side of the break before Neymar pulled one back shortly before the hour-mark.

Thulani Serero's Ajax Amsterdam drew 1-1 with APOEL Nicosia.

The Dutch visitors took the lead through Lucas Andersen's 28th minute goal but Gustavo Manduca equalised from the spot three minutes later.

Schalke had to fight back to draw 1-1 with visiting Maribor, as Klaas Jan Huntelaar's 56th minute strike eclipsed Damjan Bohar's 37th minute opener.

Bate Borisov recorded a shock 2-1 victory over Spain's Athletic Bilbao.

The Belarusian outfit claimed the spoils thanks to goals from Denis Polyakov and Aleksandr Karnitskiy, with Aritz Aduriz reducing the deficit on the stroke of half-time.

FC Porto netted two late goals to salvage a 2-2 draw at Shakhtar Donetsk.

Jackson Martinez was the hero for the visitors as he struck twice at the death to cancel out second-half strikes from Alex Teixeira and Luiz Adriano.
