Several players who featured in the GladAfrica Championship are in limbo after not being retained in the Tshakhuma FC squad that will compete in the DStv Premiership.
TTM on Thursday announced a new squad of 28 players and the names of some of their stars from last season's NFD campaign were not included despite being promised they would be part of the team in the top-flight.
KickOff.com has gathered that most are not sure what will happen to them this season and there are reportedly still unpaid salaries due to them.
"Some players hasn't received September salaries at TTM and right now it's unclear on whether they will be with Sekhukhune or find a new team," a source close to the players reveals.
"The matter has been put to SAFPU and the players who are affected didn't report to training ahead of the new season."
One of the players' representatives who did not want to be named confirms to this website that his client is affected, and says nothing has been done.
"Yes, it's true, my client didn’t get paid last month and they are refusing so we have engaged the Players' Union."
TTM CEO Sello Chokoe painted a different story, saying: "We haven't received any complaints, all players who were contracted with TTM will either join us in the DStv Premiership or Sekhukhune."
