Galaxy could turn to ex-Bucs coach

TS Galaxy could turn to former Orlando Pirates coach Owen Da Gama to lead the club in the new year.

Galaxy parted ways with coach Dan Malesela after only eight games this season after he only managed to secure one win and three draws during his tenure.

The Mpumalanga-based outfit has since appointed Zipho Dlangalala as interim coach while they search for a new mentor.

Da Gama is currently unattached after Highlands Park sold their status to Galaxy at the end of last season.

Other coaches that Galaxy could consider for the vacant coaching position include Eric Tinkler, Allan Freese and Muhsin Ertugral.

Tinkler is currently jobless after parting ways with Maritzburg United in November while Freese was shown the exit door by AmaZulu last week following the arrival of Benni McCarthy.

Meanwhile, another coach who is skating on thin ice in his PSL job is Lehlohonolo Seema at Chippa United.

The Chilli Boys are currently going through a tough time in the league and it would not be a surprise if club boss Siviwe Mpengesi were to pull the trigger on Seema anytime soon.
