Galaxy confirm Malesela's successor

Premiership

DStv Premiership rookies TS Galaxy have announced their permanent successor to coach Dan 'Dance' Malesela.

As KickOff.com reported this morning, Galaxy have confirmed the appointment of Owen Da Gama as their new head coach during a press briefing held in Fourways, Johannesburg on Monday afternoon.

Da Gama replaces Malesela, who was sacked last month and subsequently returned to Chippa United to take over from Lehlohonolo Seema.

The merry-go-round continues as the former Orlando Pirates and Platinum Stars mentor returns to the Premiership after parting ways with Highlands Park upon their sale to The Rockets last season.

Galaxy are currently in 13th position on the log table, having managed just one win in their opening 10 matches in the top flight.

The 2019 Nedbank Cup champions will be hoping the 59-year-old guides the club to league safety, and possibly return the cup to their Panorama base come the end of May.
