Mabunda set for another Downs term

It appears midfielder Tiyani Mabunda will have to endure another term without game-time at Chloorkop after failing to make a move during the past transfer window.

Mabunda was on the wanted-list of Swallows FC but the DStv Premiership debutants were unable to sign him on loan after failing to meet his salary package.

'Shuga' now has to wait until the next transfer window period if he hopes to move out of The Brazilians' camp and play in the PSL this season.

The former Black Leopards star is also joined in the stands by Wayne Arendse, whose future is also hanging by a thread at Sundowns.

The centre-back's jersey number has already been handed to new Kenyan signing Brian Onyango.

Ricardo Goss, Gift Motupa and Grant Margeman are the only new players still to make their debuts this season after they were signed during the off-season.

Sundowns have since sent Nyiko Mobbie and Luvuyo Phewa on loan to Chippa United while Phakamani Mahlambi and Abram Ngcobo have been loaned to AmaZulu and TS Sporting respectively.
