Kaizer Chiefs have had many successful coaches over the years, and some not so much. Who has been Amakhosi's best in the PSL era?

KickOff.com has crunched the numbers of Chiefs' 9 different coaches over the past 20-odd years, looking at their ratio of wins, draws and losses.

As the club looks towards the future following the second exit of Ernst Middendorp, many supporters have called for the appointment of four-time league winner Gavin Hunt.

However, the club has also been linked to several other figures including Adel Amrouche and Benni McCarthy, while a potential return for Stuart Baxter is also not completely ruled out.

To get an indication of where the bar is set for the next coach, it could perhaps be gauged from those who previously excelled at the helm such as the late Ted Dumitru, Muhsin Ertugral and Baxter.

The Scottish tactician has statistically been the club's best coach, winning over 60 percent of his 123 games at the helm between 2012 and 2015, during which he also delivered four trophies to Naturena.

While several recent appointments have completely missed the mark, where do the likes of Middendorp, Steve Komphela and even Doctor Khumalo and Ace Khuse rank in as far as win-percentage goes for the Soweto giants?
