While Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates fielded two of the youngest players in the DStv Premiership last season, Stellenbosch FC emerged as the leading developers of up-and-coming talent. Here are the 11 youngest players from the 2020/21 campaign.
Stellenbosch FC emerged as the leading developers of young talent in the league during the 2020/21 season after fielding now fewer than five teenagers throughout the campaign – four of whom feature in this list – which is the most by any team in the competition.

That tally includes promising winger Roy-Keane Avontuur who was the youngest player to feature in the South African top-flight last season, an honour he claimed at the age of 17 years, 2 months and 4 days when he took to the pitch in the 1-1 draw against Swallows FC in October.
Kaizer Chiefs starlet Keletso Sifama, who was the youngest player to feature during the 2019/20 season, ranked second behind Avontuur last time out, while highly-rated Chippa United youngster Kayden Francis rounded out the top three.
The former spent the second half of the season on loan at Maritzburg United while Francis' solitary league appearance for the campaign saw him become the Chilli Boyz's youngest-ever debutant in the Premiership.
Elsewhere, two future stars apiece from Baroka FC and top-flight first-timers TS Galaxy also make the list, while Soweto Giants Orlando Pirates boast one representative in the top 11 from last season's records.
