Thamsanqa Sangweni has completed a move to Eswatini after signing a contract with Mbabane Highlanders.

The 31-year-old former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder has been without a job for more than a year after leaving Maritzburg United.

After failing to land a deal with Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila he was linked with a move to Sekhukhune United in the GladAfrica Championship before heading to the neighbouring country.

Highlanders official Benson Dlamini has confirmed that Sangweni has signed a contract with the Mbabane-based outfit and will appear in their black and white colours this season.

"He has signed with us. He has signed for one year with us," Dlamini tells KickOff.com.

Former Buccaneers dribbling wizard Steve Lekoelea also played for Highlanders towards the end of his career.
