Gabuza puts personal tragedy behind

Premiership

SuperSport United coach Kaitano Tembo has nothing but praise for the way striker Thamsanqa Gabuza has overcome a personal tragedy to refocus on his career.

Gabuza lost his son before the MTN8 final against Highlands Park in Soweto but kept it a secret from his teammates up until after end of the cup final.

'Ganda Ganda ' was given a few days off to be with his family after the final and has since returned more determined to succeed in his journey with Matsatsantsa A Pitori.

"Gabuza is a strong person both mentally and physically. He dealt with it in his own way," said Tembo.

"We gave him a little bit of time to be with his family and he came back with a clear mind and refreshed. You can see with his performances.

"He is one person who is an honest player. He will give you his honest performance. That is what you want. He doesn't cheat. He will make mistakes but what he gives you is a lot."
