'Gabuza will shine against Pirates'

Former SuperSport United defender Thabo September is backing striker Thamsanqa Gabuza to shine against his former team at Mbombela Stadium tonight.

Gabuza is set to come face to face with Orlando Pirates for the first time since leaving the Buccaneers to join United during the off-season.

'Ganda Ganda' has been leading the line of attack for Matsatsantsa since joining them and is expected to partner Bradley Grobler up front again.

"It's a big game. I believe Gabuza will do well. He is coming against his former club and I am sure he will be motivated to do well," said September ahead of the clash.

"I think he is in the right place now where he is not playing under pressure. He has the support from the club and the fans and the only thing he has to do is to perform and not put himself under pressure. We all know that he is a good player."

SuperSport started the new season on a disappointing note after losing their first league game against Mamelodi Sundowns in Tshwane.
