Cape Town Spurs, Manning Rangers, Bush Bucks, Pirates and Hellenic were the clubs the midfielder featured for in a career that spanned from 1990 until he hung up his boots in 2003.

Mngomeni excelled in all the mentioned teams he represented including Bafana Bafana where he was a member of the 2002 World Cup.

"Today's players lack that love for playing the game," Mngomeni tells Kickoff.com.

"All the players I named in my Dream Team, you could identify that they loved what they did. Most of the players I selected basically all represented South African football. That football style that I feel has been lost.

"There's this thing that where they lack urgency, but maybe that is our tactical plan where our opponent probably falls asleep. Once he falls asleep, we deal with him.

"But that is allowed only if it's done by overseas players and this is killing our football."
