Students won't do Stellies any favours

Bidvest Wits midfielder Thabang Monare expects a very fired up Stellenbosch FC in tonight's Absa Premiership encounter at Bidvest Stadium.

The Western Cape side will be looking to break their goal drought after failing to score in their first three matches since being promoted as National First Division champions.

But Monare says Stellies' elusive first goal can't come against his side.

"Well obviously there's no generosity for anyone in football you know," Monare tells

"Everyone will need to get a run for their money so they are a good side and obviously we expect them to come fired up, and that's another thing that motivates them you know, that keeps them going and they are a danger to us.

"What I know about them is that they are a team that likes to fight you know. They have that willingness to win and the desire to win, we are going to have to match that and we are at home. We just have to win our game at home and things will be back to normal I think.

"Yeah obviously they will be a threat you know, they are a good side and the way they approach the game will always remain a mystery. Basically I think we would like to plan on what we've seen and how we've seen them play but you never know these things. We'll see on the day."
