Monare opens up on Pirates, Chiefs

Premiership

Bidvest Wits midfielder Thabang Monare says he is ready to join any team in the PSL next season if Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila don't retain his services.

Monare is among the reported players to be released by The Clever Boys as the new owners intend to cut the budget for salaries next season.

Thulani Hlatshwayo, Ricardo Goss, Gift Motupa and Haashim Domingo are some of the players that are set to join new teams next season while Monare has been linked with Soweto giants Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs.

"I have seen those reports from newspapers," Monare tells KickOff.com.

"I have not spoken to any club. I am still contracted to Wits. They are the team that has the right to talk to any team and not me.

"If they agree to release me, I wouldn't mind to play for any team whether in PSL or abroad as long as all parties are comfortable with the offer.

"I can't choose which team I want to play for. I can play for any team in PSL as long as Wits agree to that move.
