Swallows players put club first despite financial crisis

The Swallows FC squad have vowed to give everything in their fight against relegation despite the club facing an ongoing financial crisis.

Swallows' players refused to partake in training this week due to unpaid salaries.

However, the players have since returned to training after a clear-the-air meeting with the club's hierarchy to resolve unpaid salaries.

“It’s true that some of the players have received their outstanding money," an unnamed Swallows player tells KickOff.

"Some have received half their due amount and some only a quarter.

“It’s a very tough situation. There's not a single person who would agree to work without receiving a salary.

"But as players, we have met and resolved to put the club first and save our status to remain in the DStv Premiership.

"The rest we will discuss at the end of the season."
