Swallows FC are set to release about 10 players after concluding a mini-camp in Pretoria.
Swallows were in Tshwane for the past few days and played a few friendly games, including against SuperSport United, as new coach Brandon Truter had a closer look at his squad.
KickOff.com has since gathered that the Dube Birds are due to release about 10 players including veteran defender Thapelo Tshilo as Trutter tries to build a competitive squad for the season.
"The team was in camp in Pretoria for the whole week. Remember the club didn't have proper pre-season training and they have just hired the new coach," says a source.
"The coach will submit the names of the players to be released to the management on Monday. Thapelo Tshilo is one of the players leaving."
Swallows played to a goalless draw against Real Kings in their last league game played in KwaZulu-Natal before the international break.
They are 14th on the GladAfrica Championship table with five points from six matches.
