Swallows FC chairperson David Mogashoa has responded to the "lack of knowledge" comments made by axed former head coach Zeca Marques.
Maswaiswai axed Margues after five matches and replaced him with former Richards Bay FC coach Brandon Truter last week.
Marques, who previously predicted he was being set up to fail, slammed Swallows' new leadership after he was shown the door at the club.
On Sunday after their 0-0 draw with Real Kings at Mpumalanga Stadium, Mogashoa set the record straight on their decision to fire Marques.
"You know when people are released they have a lot to say," Mogashoa tells KickOff.com.
"Zeca was given enough chance, he had five games to prove that he can rebuild the team. I know he said something about not being able to make an omelet without eggs. You could see there's a lot of eggs here, he just chose the wrong eggs.
"So we can give you a hundred eggs, if you choose the wrong eggs you can't make an omelet. The quality is there, it's just a matter of giving them the technical advice on how to respond to the game, so that was lacking, that's why we took a decision. Players are there, they just lack the technical element."
Mogashoa also revealed that Swallows are targeting GladAfrica Championship clubs, as they already have with Richards Bay's head coach, and they plan to announce a new goalkeeper coach from another team within the league just to destabilise them.
"This week we are targeting top teams in the league, we want their staff. We will announce a new goalkeeper coach by the end of this week. Once we target someone, we get him. I don't want anyone from the Absa Premiership."
