Swallows open up on transfer business

Swallows FC fans are right to panic about the club's dealings in the transfer market, according to CEO Sipho 'Mr X' Xulu.

Swallows have been relatively quiet in the transfer market this time around, despite most of their star players leaving the club for greener pastures.

Xulu says the fans are within their rights to press the panic button but assures that they will be very impressed with the talent they are working on bringing on board.

"They are doing their job, it's their job to panic until they find all the answers," Xulu tells KickOff.com.

"What I can say to them is to calm down, the management is working very hard, it has never disappointed them before and we won't start now.

"The management is doing everything in its power to give them a finished product, not something we think might happen. Definitely, they will be happy with the players we will announce."

The Dube Birds are still assessing former Kaizer Chiefs star George Lebese, and Xulu says no decision has been taken yet.

"No, we haven't signed him yet. He is one of the players that is still being assessed. There should be a collective agreement before a signing is made," he adds.

"I don't think you can sign a player based on past glory. Players need to be assessed first. As soon as we sign him we will make an announcement."

Asked if the club was interested in Kaizer Chiefs duo Yagan Sasman and Willard Katsande as has been reported, he said: "Those are just speculations.

"We will announce our signings. The only players we know are the ones we are currently dealing with at training. We will announce them as soon we are done with them. It's not wise to announce players we have not signed yet. It's dangerous."
