Swallows FC are leading the race to sign out-of-favour Mamelodi Sundowns winger Aubrey Ngoma.
Ngoma only made four appearances for the Absa Premiership champions in the 2019/20 season and is in need of regular game-time elsewhere.
According to a reliable source close to the player, negotiations between all parties concerned are at an advanced stage and all that is left is for Sundowns to agree to release him to The Dube Birds.
In June this year the player's agent Vasili Barbis said that although Ngoma is happy to stay and fight for his position at the Tshwane giants, they would consider a loan move if Sundowns permits.
Ngoma, whose contract with Sundowns ends in June 2023, joined from Cape Town City in January 2018.
"Aubrey is happy to join Swallows, he's agreed to go there," the source tells KickOff.com.
"There's talk at the moment and there's a few options. There's Swallows that are interested, there's Cape Town City, and on the other side Sundowns still want to keep him.
"There's a lot of discussions happening at the moment even though there's nothing concrete. His camp will be having meetings with everyone concerned."
