Swallows in talks for more Downs stars

KickOff.com has learnt that striker Anthony Laffor and defender Wayne Arendse could be headed to Swallows FC this season.

Sundowns and Swallows are currently engaged in negotiations over the services of the two senior players and a deal could be finalised before the end of this week.

The Brazilians have already released midfielder Sammy Seabi to Swallows on a season-long loan, with a source close to both clubs indicating the duo is expected to join the Soweto-based club on the same terms.

"Sundowns and Swallows are engaged in talks over a few players at Chloorkop. Wayne Arendse and Anthony Laffor could join Swallows this coming season," the source tells KickOff.com.

Swallows boss David Mogashoa confirms that his club is engaged with Sundowns over the services of a few players but could not divulge their names.

The Dude Birds have already signed more than a full team of new players for their debut DStv Premiership season but 35-year-old Arendse would bring much-needed top-level experience to their backline while Laffor, also 35, still knows where the goals are.
