Swallows sign SA star from Europe

Swallows FC have confirmed the signing of playmaker Bantu Mzwakali after an impressive season in Sweden with IK Brage.

Mzwakali, 27, spent last season with the Superettan outfit where he scored once and registered five assists in 28 games across all competitions as he looked to rebuild his once-promising career.

A graduate of the now-defunct Ajax Cape Town academy system, he arrives with a wealth of experience in the South African top-flight with over 100 games played for the Urban Warriors, Bidvest Wits and Chippa United respectively.

Despite previously admitting his reluctance to return to Mzansi after his breakthrough abroad, as revealed by KickOff.com last week, the Dube Birds have managed to lure the talented midfielder from northern Europe.
