Return to training: PSL excitement builds

SuperSport United have become the first PSL team to return to training in Gauteng after checking into their training base in Johannesburg on Sunday.

Matsatsantsa have been following all protocols for a safe return to training, as stipulated by the new regulations, and players were eager to get going again at Megawatt Park.

Cape Town City was the first team to return to the field after professional fooball teams were given the go-ahead to start training during lockdown Level 3.

Other teams that have returned to training include AmaZulu and Maritzburg United, who both reported to their respective bases over the weekend.

Meanwhile, Polokwane City coach Clinton Larsen confirms that his team has also started group training again.

"Yes, we are back at training. We only started yesterday," Larsen tells KickOff.com.

"At the moment we are just involved in group training and making sure we follow all the necessary health measures put up by government and the PSL."

The PSL is still set to announce the new date to restart the Absa Premiership and GladAfrica Championship after all football was put on hold in March due to the coronavirus outbreak.
