SuperSport retain veteran defender

SuperSport United have shown confidence in veteran defender Onismor Bhasera after offering him a new contract.

Bhasera remains one of the oldest players at SuperSport after he turned 35 in January.

According to a source close to Matsatsantsa, Bhasera has signed a one-year deal to remain at the club for the 2021/22 season.

"Bhasera has been a loyal member of the team. He remains a true professional and the club is happy to keep him for another season," says the source.

"He has been offered a one-year extension and he will be part of the playing squad this coming season."

The Zimbabwean full-back has also played for the likes of Tembisa Classic, Golden Arrows, Maritzburg United, Jomo Cosmos, Kaizer Chiefs and Bidvest Wits since moving to the PSL back in the mid-2000s.

The Tshwane outfit are also set to retain former Bafana Bafana captain Bongani Khumalo, while former Golden Arrows midfielder Seth Parusnath was being lined up as the club's first signing of the transfer window though reports suggest Kaizer Chiefs are also in the race.
