SuperSport can't forget Pirates mauling

Premiership

It's been a tough month for Orlando Pirates, and it's not getting any better as one of their tormentors rubbed it in on social media.

Kaitano Tembo's team were not given much of a chance of competing for honours at the beginning of the season but shocked the Pirates faithful as early as August 14 with a 3-0 victory at Mbombela Stadium.

Bradley Grobler scored a brace and Ghampani Lungu added a superb third on the night. Watch the highlights below.

Incidentally, that Wednesday night defeat was the last match Milutin Sredojevic was in charge of Pirates as he resigned and left the country for personal reasons two days later, leaving Rhulani Mokwena to pick up the pieces.

SuperSport followed that up with a 3-0 whipping of Bidvest Wits four days later, and since then have been quietly going about their business, even picking up the MTN8 trophy along the way.

Matsatsantsa A Pitori are third on the Absa Premiership table, 11 points behind league leaders Kaizer Chiefs after 11 matches.
