SuperSport United have confirmed the departure of veteran defender Clayton Daniels.
SuperSport have announced that a mutual terminations of services has been agreed with Daniels following a cotractual discord.
The 36-year-old centre-back, who has made three appareances this season, has decided to seek employment elsewhere after Matsatsantsa were reluctant to hand him assurances of game-time.
"SuperSport United Football Club have mutually agreed the termination of long-term defender Clayton Daniels with immediate effect," reads a statement from the club.
"The club has agreed to release the player as we couldn’t agree on a new contract length. SuperSport United has made clear its intention of using this season to blood young players from its MDC structures."

'Hare', as he is affectionately known, joined the Tshwane outfit from Bloemfontein Celtic back in 2014 and enjoyed his best years with the club as he lifted two MTN8 trophies, a Telkom Knockout and two Nedbank Cups in the past six years.
"Clayton has been a great player and a warrior for our club helping us win all three domestic Cups and compete in many Cup finals including the CAF Confederation Cup," said SuperSport CEO Stan Matthews.
"We understand his desire to play regularly, but as a club we have to also have an eye for the future and like Clayton was given a chance at a young age, we have players like Luke Fleurs and TT Dithlokwe who need to have regular game time.
"So we have agreed to release Clayton with immediate effect and wish him well in his future both on and off the field."
