SuperSport appoint new coach

SuperSport United have roped in a new assistant coach in a bid to bolster their technical team.

Dutch-born coach Nico Labohm has replaced Godfrey Mosoetsa, who has been redeployed to the development academy at United where he served before. He was only promoted to assist Kaitano Tembo last season.

Labohm sat on the bench when Matsatsantsa played against Township Rollers in a friendly game played at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday.

Speaking in an interview with KickOff.com, Tembo has confirmed Labohm is his new assistant coach.

"We needed to beef up the technical team, we have been thin in that area," said Tembo.

"Nick Labohm has done well with the MDC team and he will add quality in the technical team, which is very key."

SuperSport are set to head to Cape Town this week to continue their pre-season training.

Matsatsantsa will face neighbours Mamelodi Sundowns in their first league match of the season at Lucas Moripe Stadium on August 3.
