Former defender Willem Jackson believes Orlando Pirates are an equal match for defending DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Buccaneers have a mountain to climb this weekend as they host a Sundowns side that will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the league standings.
"Both teams are doing well, you know, and they've been hitting teams," Jackson tells Kickoff.com.
"But I think they also have their problems with what's happening with the players off the pitch at Pirates.
"I think Sundowns are more positive, but I think the way Pirates were playing over the weekend, they did very, very well.
"So I would go for both teams to share the points. Pirates are doing well defensively, in attack and also in the midfield.
"Sundowns have been doing well also with these boys like Coetzee and Andile Jali controlling the midfield, also Zwane and Shalulile have been doing well in attack.
"The moment Pirates give Sundowns the space to play from the back, it's trouble.
Jackson added how he thought Pirates could achieve the uphill battle of disarming Sundowns.
"I don't think the Sundowns squad is better than Pirates, it's all about the positives of the players. They've got equal players. But you know sometimes players have to think about the badge and playing according to instructions.
"The Sundowns players, if you close them down quickly, they are equal.
"Pirates just need to work extra hard on that. At the end of the day, it's who wants it more.
"Fadlu Davids and Mandla Ncikazi are getting the team ready, they are getting the team strong to play."
